そしてＴＮＳにとっては歴史的な一戦
中盤を厚くして守るＴＮＳ、対するリヴァプールはジェラードが開始８分で先制点を奪います。前半１８分にもジェラード

前回より自信を持ってプレーしました。しかし、このレベルでは一つのプレーが命取り
前半を終えてジブリルシセのゴールでリヴァプールが一点をリードしますが、ドハティはこの日も好セーブを連発します

ＴＮＳには同点ゴールのチャンスもありましたがポストに嫌われました
残り２０分でリヴァプールはジェラードを投入、キャプテンは早速チームを活性化させます。一分間で２度もゴール
予想通りリヴァプールが２回戦に進出。ＴＮＳも頑張りました

「現在の本拠であるランサントフレイド（Llansantffraid）がクラブの歴史や伝統を築いた場所という事は分かっています。ただオズウェストリーに新しいスタジアムを作る計画があるんです。つまりイングランドに本拠地を置きながらウェールズでプレーする訳ですねぇ。珍しいケースですがＵＥＦＡの許可は取ってあります」
実現すればランサントフレイドは平凡な田舎町に戻ります
そしてヨーロッパ王者と戦った思い出が残るのです

A highly-promising and quick-footed young player who came through UniBond Premier side Burscough's successful youth ranks.
Made his senior debut in the final game of the 1999/00 season and enjoyed a particularly fruitful 2001/02 season in front of goal.
Made both goals for Burscough when they beat Tamworth in the 2003 FA Trophy final.
Had been the subject of interest from a number of League clubs but chose to move into the Welsh Premier with Aberystwyth Town in August 2003.
Left in the middle of a two-year contract following the departure of manager Gary Finley in August 2004 and signed a 12-month deal with TNS where he has rapidly made an impact down the left hand flank and as a goal-scorer.
